FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas stays on the road to face LSU on Saturday (Feb. 3) for an early start time. Tipoff is et for 11 am (CT) and the game will be televised on ESPN2.
After LSU, the Razorbacks will not play again until next Saturday (Feb. 10) when Arkansas hosts Georgia.
NOTES:
- This will be the 78th meeting between Arkansas and LSU and the 68th since the Razorbacks joined the SEC. Arkansas leads the all-time series, 42-35, and is 38-30 versus the Tigers since joining the SEC.
- LSU leads the series in games played in Baton Rouge, 20-13, including a 19-12 advantage in SEC matchups.
- The teams split last year, each winning on their own court, but the Razorbacks have won five of the last seven.
- Head coach Eric Musselman was on staff at LSU under Johnny Jones for the 2014-15 season as associate head coach. The team went 20-11, finished third in the SEC (11-7) and was an eight-seed in the NCAA Tournament.
- Assistant coach Keith Smart is a native of Baton Rouge and graduated from McKinley HS.
- Arkansas remains second in the NCAA in blocked shots but has no players ranked among the NCAA top 140 in the category. Arkansas has had at least one player block three shots in a game 13 times this season and in seven of the eight SEC games.
- Makhi Mitchell is coming off his second straight double-double. In the last two SEC games, he has scored 31 points and grabbed 27 rebounds. In the first six SEC games he scored 17 points and had 15 rebounds.
- Jalen Graham had one of his best games as a Razorback in the win at Mizzou. He scored 13 points and led the team with four assists, four steals and three blocked shots. The assists were a season-high (one off his career high) and the steals and blocked shots tied career highs.
