FAYETTEVILLE – The 15/16th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks hit the road to play the Oklahoma Sooners. Tipoff is set for 6 pm (CT) and the game will be televised on ESPN.

Though border rivals, Arkansas and Oklahoma have not played in Norman since Dec. 2011. However, prior to the Sooners joining the SEC, the two programs met for three games in Tulsa (Dec. 2021, 2022 and 2023) for the Crimson and Cardinal Classic. The Sooners won the first and third games in the series. Last year, Arkansas and Oklahoma met for the first time as SEC members and the Sooners won in Fayetteville, 65-62.

After Oklahoma, Arkansas returns to Bud Walton Arena to host Kentucky on Saturday (Jan. 31). Tipoff is set for 5:30 pm (CT)and the game will be televised on ESPN.

After Kentucky, Arkansas will have a midweek bye and then pay three of its next four on the road – at Mississippi State on Feb. 7, at LSU on Feb. 10 and at Alabama on Feb. 18. The lone home game in the stretch is versus Auburn on Feb. 14.

NOTES:

  • The Arkansas and Oklahoma series includes 32 games dating back to two games on back-to-back days the 1938-39 season. Those two games were played on Dec. 20 and Dec. 21, 1938. Arkansas won the first game, 39-31, and the second, 36-30.
  • Arkansas owns a 17-15 advantage in the series, but Oklahoma leads, 8-3, in games played in Norman. The Sooners have also won three of the last four meetings, including two in Tulsa and the teams’ first SEC meeting in Fayetteville last year.
  • This will be the teams’ first meeting in Norman since Dec. 10, 2011, a game the Sooners won 78-63,
  • Coach Calipari now has 892 on-court wins and is 8 shy of reaching 900 wins as head coach of an NCAA Division I program.
  • Darius Acuff Jr. averaged 24 points and 5.5 assists in leading Arkansas to wins over #15 Vanderbilt and LSU to earn his record-tying sixth SEC Freshman of the Week honor. It was his sixth honor in the last seven weeks.
