FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas stays on the road for the second of back-to-back road games to face Texas A&M on Tuesday (Feb. 20). Tipoff is set for 6 pm (CT) and the game will be televised on ESPN.

After A&M, Arkansas returns home to host Missouri on Saturday (Feb. 24) and Vanderbilt on Tuesday (Feb. 27).

NOTES:

  • Texas A&M is Arkansas’ most common opponent and the series dates back to the Razorbacks’ first season of basketball (1923-24).
  • Arkansas and Texas A&M have met on 168 previous occasions and are meeting for the second of two times this year. The next closest, most-common Razorback opponents are Texas and SMU, each at 155 games.
  • The Razorbacks own a 107-61 advantage in the series. The 107 wins are the most wins for Arkansas versus an opponent.
  • However, since A&M joined the SEC for the 2012-13 season, Arkansas owns a slight 12-10 advantage in the series. The home team has been dominant in the series since A&M joined the SEC with Arkansas holding a 10-1 advantage in Bud Walton Arena while the Aggies own a 7-2 advantage in games played at Reed Arena.
  • Arkansas has defended the 3-point shot better in the last three games. The Razorbacks held their opponents to a combined 13-of-50 (26.0%) including UGA 4-of-18 (22.2%), UT 5-of-17 (29.4%) and MSU 4-15 (26.7%).
  • Earlier This Season, Arkansas defeated Texas A&M, 78-77. Wade Taylor IV, who scored 41 points by going 13-of-32 from the field, hit a 3-pointer with 7.8 seconds left to give Texas A&M its only lead in the game, 77-76. But, after an Aggie timeout, Tramon Mark, who finished with a career-high 35 points, took the inbounds pass, drove to the left side of the SEC logo in the lane, pulled up and sank a jumper with 1.1 seconds left for a 78-77 Razorback victory at Bud Walton Arena. (Note: The 76 points between Wade and Mark were the most combined points by opposing players in Bud Walton Arena history.) Arkansas was up 20 in the first half and led by 14 at halftime. Texas A&M steadily worked the deficit down to three (60-57) to set up an exciting finish. Mark had career highs in free throws made (17) and attempts (22). The 17 FT made ties for 5th all-time in school history and ties for 2nd in SEC games. The 22 FTA ties for 3rd all-time in school history and ties the record for an SEC game. Overall, there were a combined 73 free throws (ARK was 31-40 and A&M was 23-33).
