Mistry, Anacona Earn SEC Honors

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Juniors Kajal Mistry and Ela Anacona were recognized by the league’s coaches with postseason honors, announced by the Southeastern Conference on Thursday. Mistry was named First Team All-SEC and Anacona was selected to the conference’s Community Service team.

Kajal Mistry was recognized as one of just eight First Teamers named by the league’s coaches, after being a force for the  Razorbacks all year. The Johannesburg, South Africa native earned three top-10 finishes this season with the best event of her career coming in the spring. Mistry earned the first individual win of her collegiate career at the MountainView Collegiate, carding a 206 (-10) at the event – her best 54-hole score by five strokes. Mistry is one of two Hogs to appear in all 10 events so far this season, leading the lineup through all of them with a 72.81 stroke average.

Arkansas’ representative on the SEC Community Service team for the 2021-22 season was Ela Anacona, who has given back to the Northwest Arkansas community in various ways. Anacona’s passion for helping others is shown in the work she does, by going to local elementary schools to read and help with ChooseConfidence; Head Coach Shauna Taylor’s organization. Ela has also volunteered at the Special Olympics and Razorback Golf Day where she meets and plays with members of the organization.
