Pair of Seniors Lead Razorbacks Into Wednesday’s Finals
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Arkansas swim and dive team competed in the second day of SEC competition on Wednesday.
With the springboards silent on day two, the spotlight belonged to the swimmers. Swimming preliminaries commenced in the early window with events in the 100 backstroke, 200 butterfly, and the 100 breaststroke.
Senior Standouts
- Senior Aris Runnels started the morning off strong, racing to a 53.33 time in the 100 backstroke. The Woodbridge, Virginia, native secured a spot in C finals, where she would ultimately place 20th with a finals — and season best — time of 53.12.
- Team Captain and senior Sydney Craft also made C finals in the 200 butterfly with a preliminary time of 1:58.84. The Bristow, Virginia, native would tie for 21st place with a finals time of 1:58.63.
For Tomorrow
- Preliminary action begins at 8:30 a.m. consisting of the 100 butterfly, 400 individual medley, and 200 freestyle. 3-meter diving prelims will start at 11 a.m.
- Consolation finals for 3-meter diving will begin at 1:25 p.m.
- Finals events for all the previously mentioned events and the 400 mixed medley relay will begin at 4:30 p.m.
