Damian Ruiz slashed a team-leading .600/.765/.600 with a team-high six hits, six walks and a stolen base over four games during Arkansas’ season-opening weekend at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, in the Shriners Children’s College Showdown. The Razorback outfielder reached base in 13 consecutive plate appearances, a record streak in the Dave Van Horn era. Ruiz reached based in all six plate appearances vs. Texas Tech (Feb. 15), finishing 2-for-2 with two runs scored, a career-high four walks and a stolen base. He drew a walk and singled in his first two at-bats vs. Tarleton State (Feb. 16) to extend his reached base streak to 13 consecutive plate appearances before he was retired for the first time since the fifth inning of Arkansas’ Opening Day win vs. Oklahoma State (Feb. 13)

Colin Fisher tossed a career high-tying five shutout innings with a career-high eight strikeouts in Arkansas’ win vs. Texas Tech (Feb. 15) at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, in the Shriners Children’s College Showdown. The left-hander allowed only one hit and issued two walks in his first start of the season.

Tate McGuire was perfect in relief vs. #10 TCU (Feb. 14) at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, in the Shriners Children’s College Showdown. The right-hander retired all 15 batters he faced, striking out four over a career long-tying five innings of work on the mound. McGuire’s 15 consecutive batters retired are the most by an Arkansas pitcher in a game since Gage Wood retired 21 in a row vs. Murray State in the College World Series in 2025.

Mark Brissey made his collegiate debut on the mound vs. Tarleton State (Feb. 16) at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series. The true freshman right-hander from Batesville, Ark., tossed two scoreless innings with three strikeouts to earn his first career save and help lead Arkansas to a win.

The true freshman right-hander from Maumelle, Ark., allowed just one run on four hits and one walk while striking out five over his 4.1 innings of work to help lead Arkansas to a win.
