Christian Franklin

Franklin played hero in Arkansas’ dramatic series-clinching win against Auburn on Saturday, hitting the game-winning, walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning to complete the Razorbacks’ come-from-behind 6-5 victory. He had two multi-hit games during the week, including two base knocks in the 21-8 win against Central Arkansas on Tuesday.

Kevin Kopps
Stats (3 appearances): 5.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 11 KK, 1 SV
The reliever made an appearance in all three games against Auburn, beginning with a three-inning, eight-strikeout effort in the series opener. He struck out two and earned a save in his only inning of work in game two. He pitched for the third day in a row on Saturday, entering the finale and striking out one to finish off his week.
Newcomer of the Week
Robert Moore
Stats (4 GP / 4 GS): .333/.500/.733, 5-for-15, 2B, 3B, HR, 7 RBI, 4 BB, HBP
Moore started his week with a bang, hitting for the cycle in Arkansas’ 21-8 win against Central Arkansas on Tuesday. He drove in six runs and reached bases in all six plate appearances, also drawing a walk and getting hit by a pitch. Moore is the second Razorback to ever hit for the cycle, becoming the first to do so since Kyle Harris vs. Tennessee in 1994.
Freshman of the Week
Cayden Wallace
Stats (3 GP / 3 GS): .545/.615/.545, 6-for-11, 3 R, RBI, 2 BB
The freshman picked up a base hit in all three games he played in during the week, extending his hitting streak to 10 straight games. He had two-multi hit efforts against Auburn, including three hits in the dramatic series-clinching win against Auburn on Saturday.
Razorback Notes
- Moore was the first Razorback to score four runs in a game since Trevor Ezell did against Arkansas-Pine Bluff in April of 2019.
- Moore was also the first Razorback to notch six RBIs in a game since Heston Kjerstad did it against Eastern Illinois to start the 2020 season.
- Arkansas had not scored 21 runs in a game since the 2016 season when the Razorbacks did so against Mississippi Valley State.
- The Hogs last recorded 20 hits in a matchup against Dayton in February of 2018.
- The last time Arkansas hit five long balls in a game was against Texas A&M in May of 2019.
