OF Tavian Josenberger

Tavian Josenberger helped power the Razorbacks to a 3-1 week, including an SEC weekend series win against Alabama. Josenberger slashed a team-leading .571/.657/1.143 with eight hits, including four extra-base hits (two doubles and two home runs), and six RBI – all of which were team highs. He recorded a season-high three RBI in Arkansas’ midweek week against Omaha and finished with multiple hits in three of the Hogs’ four games, including a season-best three hits in the second game of the series against Alabama. He also scored eight runs on the week, most among all SEC batters. Defensively, Josenberger made a sensational home run-robbing catch and turned a double play from center in Saturday’s win against Alabama.

RHP Dylan Carter

Dylan Carter provided six strong innings in relief against Alabama to help Arkansas secure its second SEC weekend series win of the season. In Saturday’s win against the Crimson Tide, the right-hander emerged from the bullpen and twirled 2 1/3 scoreless innings with two strikeouts. He capped his impressive weekend with 3 2/3 innings of one-run ball in Sunday’s series finale, earning the win in relief to improve to 4-0 on the season.

Freshman of the Week
RHP Gage Wood

Stats (3 GP/0 GS): 1-0, 4.15 ERA, 3.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 5 SO, .188 B/AVG

True freshman pitcher Gage Wood earned both his first collegiate win and his first collegiate save during the week. In Arkansas’ midweek win against Omaha, Wood fired two shutout relief innings with three strikeouts to help the Hogs take down the Mavericks in seven innings. He was called upon in Sunday’s series finale against Alabama to lock down the save and secure Arkansas’ second SEC weekend series win of the season. Wood retired all four batters he faced in his 1 1/3 innings of work to pick up his first collegiate save.
