INF/OF Brady Slavens

Brady Slavens’ bat powered Arkansas to a five-win week, including a three-game series sweep of #15 LSU. Slavens jacked three homers and drove in 12 runs, leading all SEC hitters during the week. His biggest offensive outburst came in game one of the doubleheader against UAPB, collecting a career-high six RBI on four hits, including two home runs. He also drove in three in the series finale against LSU to help Arkansas secure its first sweep of the Tigers since 2011.

LHP Hagen Smith

True freshman Hagen Smith twirled a seven-inning, seven-strikeout shutout in a 4-0 win against #15 LSU on Friday to help Arkansas clinch its 11th consecutive SEC home series win and, ultimately, secure a three-game series sweep over the Tigers.  Smith threw seven scoreless innings, matching his season long in the effort, to earn his team-leading sixth win of the season. The outing was Smith’s fifth quality start of the year, second most on the Razorbacks behind only ace Connor Noland’s six.

Razorback Notes

  • Arkansas extended its SEC-leading consecutive home series win streak to 11, which includes five sweeps.
  • Arkansas completed its first sweep of LSU since 2011 and fourth overall.
  • Five of Arkansas’ seven all-time series win against LSU have occurred in Fayetteville.
  • The Hogs how now won back-to-back home series victories over the Tigers for the first time since the 1999 and 2001 campaigns under Norm DeBriyn.
  • Arkansas has now also won three consecutive series against LSU for the first time in program history.
  • The Hogs boast an active win streak of at least three consecutive series victories against seven SEC teams: Kentucky (6), Alabama (4), Auburn (3), LSU (3), Mississippi State (3), Mizzou (3) and South Carolina (3).
