Razorbacks Haul In Another Bronze Medal; Record Four Additional Finals Placements

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Arkansas swim and dive team concluded an action-packed third day of SEC Competition on Thursday.

Preliminaries started the day off with the 100 butterfly, 400 individual medley, 200 free, and 3-meter diving. Finals consisted of the same events and also included the 400 medley relay.

Hogs Heating Up

  • Sophomore Holly Robinson would place 22nd in the 400 individual medley finals with a time of 4:16.08.
  • Senior Malea Martinez placed 15th in the 3-meter with a finals score of 267.50.
  • After narrowly missing the cut for A finals, junior Lauren French took 11th place in the 3-meter with a finals score of 296.25.

History For Harriet

  • Junior Harriet Rogers raced to a 19th place finish in the 100 butterfly finals with a time of 52.54. The Darlington, England, native nearly topped her personal record — and second-fastest time in program history — of 52.45, which she hit at the team’s midseason invitational earlier this season.
  • The record is held by Andrea Sansores who accomplished this feat during the 2023-24 season with a time of 51.77.

Back-To-Back Bronze

  • Sophomore Majo Sanchez secured the second bronze medal of her young career Thursday evening, with a 3-meter finals score of 360.80. Sanchez’s third place finish marks consecutive bronze medals for the Razorbacks throughout the two diving events thus far.
  • Arkansas will look to add one more medal on Saturday where they will compete on platform.

For Tomorrow

  • Preliminary action will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will consist of the 200 breaststroke, 500 freestyle, and 50 freestyle.
  • Finals will consist of the previously mentioned events and will include the 200 free relay as well.
