Razorbacks Have an Impressive Showing on Final Day of Tennessee Invite

Knoxville, Tenn. – The Arkansas Swimming and Diving started the final day off with five personal best in the Prelims of the Tennessee Invite. In addition, the Razorbacks had six NCAA B-Cut times posted in Prelims of the Tennessee Invite. Also, Andrea Sansores, Vanessa Herrmann, Claire Rumzie, Rebecca Simpson, Eleonora Camisa, Adela Vavrinova, Kobie Melton, Bella Cothern, Ella Pearl, and Reilly Shaner all posted personal best on the last day. Furthermore, The Razorbacks set a new season-best in 400 Freestyle Relay with a 3:15.0. In total this week, Arkansas broke 27 personal best records in the Tennessee Invite, including three school records as well.

“It was a great meet for our team at this point in our season. We competed against 3 top 10 teams and had great success. School records, NCAA B cuts, and many personal bests, it was a great rehearsal for us to compete in the facility where we will compete at SEC’s in February. I am particularly excited that we have qualified 4 individuals already and several relays and other individuals with chances to represent us at the NCAA Championships in March,” – Coach Harper stated. We will celebrate Thanksgiving, focus on the US Open and then prepare for academic success going into finals.”

Adela Vavrinova had a 1:59.00 in the 200 Butterfly Prelim
Claire Rumzie had a 52.21in the 100 Freestyle Prelim
Reilly Shaner posted a 51.96 in 100 Freestyle Prelim
Bella Cothern broke a 48.91 in 100 Freestyle Prelim

400 Freestyle Relay team put up a 3:15.01 third-fastest time in school history.
