Razorbacks Head to Bluegrass State for Last Road Meet of Regular Season
The No. 16 Gymbacks have another top 10 opponent on deck this week as they face off against the No. 9 Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington on Friday night.
The meet is Arkansas’ last on the road in the regular season and the last opportunity to boost the team’s NQS, currently a 196.775, with one of three counting away scores.
Friday will be the Gymbacks’ first appearance at the newly renovated Historic Memorial Coliseum and their second meeting with Kentucky this season. In the 2025 opener, both teams competed at the Sprouts Farmers Market Quad meet in Oklahoma City, where Kentucky took second and Arkansas took fourth.
Kentucky is one of only two SEC opponents that Arkansas is on the winning side of its series with at 28-17. The Gymbacks faced the Wildcats a whopping four times in 2024 and went 3-1 in those meetings. Arkansas is 4-7 against Kentucky in the Jordyn Wieber era and the last time the Gymbacks beat the Wildcats in Lexington was in 2011.
Kentucky ranks above Arkansas in all events except for floor, where the Razorbacks have an NQS of 49.410 to the Cats’ 49.350, ranked ninth and 11th, respectively. As a team, the Wildcats hold a 197.085 NQS and are currently averaging 197.150. Arkansas’ average road score through five outings is 196.310.
