Razorbacks Head to Dallas for Midseason SMU Invite
The Arkansas swim and dive team is set to compete in the midseason SMU Invite, running from Wednesday, Nov. 19 to Saturday, Nov. 22 in Dallas, Texas.
The Razorbacks are coming off a recent 208.5-88.5 victory over SMU earlier this month. In addition to Mustangs, the Razorbacks will compete against Drury, Hawaii, North Texas, Notre Dame, and Utah. Arkansas has fared well against the upcoming opponents throughout the years. The Razorbacks head-to-head records are 24-3 (Drury), 1-0 (Hawaii), 9-0 (North Texas), 1-0 (Notre Dame), 6-8 (SMU), and 3-0 (Utah).
“We are excited to travel to Dallas to compete in SMU’s Fall Invite,” head coach Neil Harper said. “They have a great facility and with teams from the SEC, ACC, and Big Twelve, we are expecting good competition and opportunities for prelim and final race experience and personal bests.”
Each team in the invite will compete in both swimming and diving throughout the week besides Notre Dame who will only be competing in diving. “I’m excited for our ladies to compete at the SMU Invite.” Head diving coach Abel Sanchez added.
Competition will begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 19, and SMU will be providing a live stream each day for fans watching at home.
