Razorbacks Head to Knoxville for SEC Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Arkansas swim and dive team is ready to kick off SEC action beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 17 in Knoxville, Tenn.

Arkansas hopes to ride the momentum into SECs after both swimming and diving took care of business in the regular season finale. Swim topped SEC foe, Vanderbilt by a score of 145-108, while dive beat UNT by a score of 221-129.

“I am excited for our team to start competing,” head coach Neil Harper said. “We have had this as a focus all year and now we get to perform. We are confident in our dedication and improvement, so now we just have to channel our belief in the great competition that is the SEC Championships.”

SEC Championships will run Feb. 17 through Feb. 21 — alternating between men’s and women’s events. Every morning will consist of preliminary competition, followed by the finals for qualifying athletes later in the evening.

“I’m so excited for this meet, this is a high-octane event,” head diving coach Abel Sanchez said. “There are so many great divers in the SEC and I’m sure every university is locked and loaded for this competition. I am very excited for our lady Razorbacks.”

Tuesday’s action begins at 10:30 a.m. CT starting with the 1,650 freestyle, then the 200 mixed medley relay, 800 free relay, and 1-meter diving. All events will be streamed live on SEC Network+.
