Razorbacks Hope to Build on Successes at MSU Meet
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After having traveled across the country for their most recent meet, the Razorbacks’ next match will see them competing in their backyard: Springfield, Missouri. The Razorbacks head into this meet with a 3-1 record and the Bears sit at 1-1, having won their opener against Lindenwood and dropped a match against Southern Illinois.
Both Head Swimming Coach Neil Harper and Head Diving Coach Abel Sánchez gave praise to their athletes’ performances against Stanford this past weekend which they hope to build upon going into Saturday’s matchup. “We had a lot of girls put up lifetime bests in their events,” said Harper, “we did well considering the adversity we had to face. We came back and got better.” Diving Coach Abel Sánchez spoke on the approach that the divers developed during the meet which he wants to carry over into this weekend’s meet: “it’s all about executing one dive at a time, and you can only impact what you do. You have to take it one dive at a time and execute what we’ve been practicing.”
The meet begins at 11:00 AM CST on Saturday at Missouri State’s Hammons Center Pool. Live stats will be posted to Meet Mobile.
