Fan Guide | 2016-17 Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Razorback Swimming and Diving program is set to begin the 2016-17 campaign on Friday, Oct. 14 at 3 p.m. against Drury at home in the Arkansas Natatorium.

Coming off a 7-1 record in 2015-16, the Razorbacks look to build on that success under first-year head coach Neil Harper. Along with Harper, the Razorbacks also welcome the 2015-16 Southeastern Conference Women’s Diving Coach of the Year, Dale Schultz. Schultz returns to Fayetteville for his third stint with the Razorbacks (1989-2000, 2008-13) after most recently serving as the head diving coach at the University of Florida.

Senior Natalie Burnett along with juniors Chelsea Tatlow and Nicole Gillis return for the Razorbacks after qualifying for the NCAA Championships a season ago.

Burnett is the only returning member of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished 23rd at the Championships a year ago.

Tatlow is also a lone returner from the 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished 24th at the NCAA Championships and recorded a time of 7:06.08 at the SEC Championships, the second-best time in school history.

Gillis finished 20th last season at the NCAA Championships in the 1m springboard with a score of 279.00. She also recorded a score of 293.10 in the 3m springboard to finish 25th.

Arkansas also returns Madison Strathman who was a four-time SEC Freshman of the Week award winner last season.

Drury’s visit to Fayetteville marks the 21st meeting between the two programs and the first since the 2009-10 season when the Razorbacks defeated the Panthers, 190-76. Arkansas holds a 17-3 advantage in the series with a winning streak of 11 straight.
