FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s basketball team returns to the court on Monday, Nov. 14, welcoming Southern Illinois to Bud Walton Arena for the second game in four days to open the 2016-17 season.

• Friday’s win against Fort Wayne was Arkansas’ 43rd straight victory in its home opener, including a perfect 24-0 in Bud Walton Arena.

• Arkansas has now won 22 consecutive season openers and has opened the year in the win column in 44 of the last 46 seasons.

• Mike Anderson is looking to start 2-0 for the 14th time in 15 years as a head coach. His only 1-1 start came last season.

• The Razorbacks return their top two scorers and rebounders from a year ago and the top four shooters in terms of field goal percentage.

The Non-Conference Slate
• Arkansas is slated to play 13 non-conference games this year, with eight of those picked to finish in the top three of their respective league standings.

• The Razorbacks defeated the Summit League preseason favorite in the season opener and will play the Sun Belt favorite this Friday.

• While Texas was picked to finish third in the Big 12, it is ranked in the top 25 of both preseason polls.

• Arkansas will tip it up against four teams ranked in the Mid-Major Top 25 poll, with UT Arlington (6), Fort Wayne (15), Stephen F. Austin (18) and North Dakota State (19) all making an appearance.
