
Razorbacks Ink Lone Star State Standout
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas men’s basketball head coach Mike Anderson announced on Wednesday that 6-7 guard Jordan Phillips signed his National Letter of Intent and will join the Razorbacks for the 2018-19 season.
Phillips is rated a three-star player by Rivals.com, 247Sports.com and Future150.com. During his junior year, he played at Cedar Hill High School in Cedar Hill, Texas, where he averaged 21 points and six rebounds per game. Phillips led the Longhorns to a 29-5 overall record last season, finishing 12th in the state of Texas.
Phillips will play for the Grace Preparatory Academy in Arlington, Texas, during his senior year. He is ranked as high as the 37th-best shooting guard in the country by 247Sports.com and as high as the 132nd overall player in the country by Rivals.com. Phillips has a Scout grade of 90.
During the spring and summer, Phillips played for Dallas Showtyme Elite, averaging 23 points, six rebounds, seven assists and three steals

“I love Jordan’s versatility,” said Anderson. “He is long, athletic, has a college body and can guard multiple positions on the floor. He is a gifted scorer that can really rebound and pass well. He will be great in our up-tempo style of basketball and our fans will really enjoy watching him play and develop. Jordan comes from a great family and we look forward to having him in a Razorback jersey next year.”
