Razorbacks open home schedule with Arkansas Invitational
FAYETTEVILLE – The Razorbacks begin the 2025 indoor season hosting the Arkansas Invitational on Friday, Jan. 17, at the Randal Tyson Track Center.
Oklahoma State, Texas, and Tulsa are among visiting teams that include Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Central Arkansas, Coffeyville CC, John Brown, Little Rock, North Texas, Oklahoma City, and Oral Roberts.
“This is the first meet of the 2025 season and we’re excited about it,” said Arkansas women’s head coach Chris Johnson. “We have a lot of new people added to the team along with the elder statesmen. We want to come out and compete hard against the competition we have coming in with teams such as Texas and Oklahoma State.
“Most of the young ladies are racing above their regular distance or in some cases a little lower. Basically, we want to see where they’re at in relation to practice. We know where they’re at from a practice standpoint, now we want to see how well they’re going to compete and execute.”
Live streaming of the meet will be available on SEC Network + (https://tinyurl.com/2mm8pfat) starting at 2 p.m. (CT) while live results are available on flashresults.com (https://tinyurl.com/3mamejty). Field events begin at noon while running prelim events start at 12:45 p.m. and finals at 2 p.m.
