Razorbacks Set to Compete in Iowa Hawkeye Midseason Invite
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks are set to compete in the midseason Iowa Invite beginning on Thursday and going through Saturday.
The Razorbacks are coming off a 176-111 win over in-state rival University of Arkansas-Little Rock and a 5-3 start to the season. In addition to the Hawkeyes, the Razorbacks will compete with Colorado State, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Nebraska, Northern Iowa and San Diego State. The Iowa Hawkeye invite is composed of all women’s swimming and diving teams and it will closely follow similar structure to this year’s conference championships. This will mark the first time the Razorbacks have squared off against Iowa, Northern Iowa, and San Diego State. The Razorbacks will host Kansas on January 24 for their last regular season meet.
Coach Harper commented on the significance of this week’s Midseason Invite, “The Iowa Invite will be a unique event between nine women’s teams from all over the country. Iowa has a great facility so we are excited to have the opportunity to compete and perform against teams that will bring out the best in our ladies!”
Prelims will kick off on Thursday at 9:00am CST.
