Razorbacks start outdoor campaign at 97th Texas Relays

AUSTIN – The 97th edition of the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays occurring 100 years since the event started in 1925 will include the Arkansas women’s team as the Razorbacks compete Thursday through Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Live coverage of the meet will be streamed on SEC Network+ on Friday and Saturday during the collegiate portion of the meet while live results will be available throughout the meet at http://relays.texassports.com.

The Razorbacks are scheduled to compete in six relay events – 4 x 100, 4 x 200, 4 x 400, 4 x 400 Richards Ross University, 4 x 800, and sprint medley. In addition, Arkansas will have entries in six running events – 100m, 200m, 800m, 1,500m, 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles as well as a pair of field events – high jump and pole vault.

Thursday’s events for Arkansas include Hannah Estes and Rachel Homoly in the pole vault. Rachel Glenn and Saira Prince are schedule to compete in the prelims of the 400m hurdles. A crew of four Razorbacks – Analisse Batista, Ainsley Erzen, Sanu Jallow-Lockhart, and Anna Podojil – compete in the 800m Invitational while Sorcha Shiu will race in the B section of the 1,500m.

Also competing on Thursday at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas, is Addison Richey in the B section of the pole vault. On Friday, Homoly and Estes are scheduled to compete in the A section of the pole vault in the Bobcat Invitational.

Friday at the Texas Relays, prelims in the 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m relays take place along with prelims in the 100m and 100m hurdles. Finals for Arkansas on Friday include the sprint medley relay and 400m hurdles.

Racing in the 100m hurdles for the Razorbacks are Simone Ballard, Shania Myers, Saira Prince, and Skye Tolbert. Entrants in the 100m include Na’Taja Ballard, Anya Jackson, and Ariane Linton.

The 4 x 800m final opens competition for Arkansas on Saturday along with Sydney Billington in the high jump. Additional relay finals include 4 x 100m, 4 x 200m, and 4 x 400m as well individual finals in the 100m and 100m hurdles. Arkansas alum Destiny Huven competes in the 100m hurdles Invitational.
