Razorbacks Take Down Bears
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks traveled to Springfield, Missouri looking to add to their already hot 3-1 start, and they did not disappoint. The Hogs took down the Missouri State Bears by a score of 191-109. The team had first-place finishes in 13 events as well as podium sweeps in both diving events.
“Our ladies did a great job,” said Head Swimming Coach Neil Harper, “they got on the bus early this morning, arrived in Springfield, warmed up, and went right out there and competed!” And compete they did. Razorback senior swimmers Bella Cothern, Adela Vavrinova, Alessia Ferraguti, and Bradi Jones led the way with multiple wins each, and this was supplemented by performances by Betsy Wizard, Maddy Hartley, and Sydney Craft.
The Razorback divers were sharp today as well. Lauren French took home a win in the 3-meter and Anna Arnautova won the 1-meter. The Hogs finished places one, two, and three in both, and in addition to this, four divers scored their NCAA Zone Cut today. The efforts of the team and coaching staff in recent weeks certainly paid off today. “We will bus back, rest up, and focus on our preparations for our Fall Invite in Knoxville in 11 days,” commented Harper regarding what is next for the team.
