Razorbacks Travel to Springfield to Face Drury

The Arkansas swim and dive team is ready to hit the road to face Drury University in Springfield, Mo. on Friday, Oct. 3.

The Razorbacks and Panthers have quite the extensive history. The two programs have competed 26 times, dating back to the 1989-90 season. Since then, the Razorbacks hold a commanding 23-3 record in meets against Drury including a 17-meet win streak. In their most recent matchup last fall, Arkansas emerged victorious by a score of 140-95.

Sophomore Majo Sanchez helped lead the Hogs to victory last year and placed first in both the 1- and 3-meter diving. Senior Delaney Harrison grabbed the gold in the 200 butterfly, and sophomore Ashley Morton placed first in the 200 backstroke.

“We always want to compete against Drury, they are one of the best DII programs in the country,” head coach Neil Harper said. “They are well-coached and always have swimmers and divers that can challenge us. We are really looking forward to competing there with our young team.”
