Sansores and Thomas clear finals on day three
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Arkansas swimming had another successful outing as the Hogs closed day three of the SEC Championships with one top-five finish and one top-15 finish.
Graduate student Andrea Sansores finished fourth in the 100-butterfly final while also breaking the school record with a 51.77. In addition, Graduate student Luciana Thomas finished 13th in the 400-individual medley in which she posted a 4:13.39.
Head Coach Neil Harper: “Another day with personal-bests and school records, but we want to get more finals swims. Luciana and Andrea did great today and for Andrea to break our 100-fly school record this morning and again this evening is exciting. Tomorrow has the potential to be a successful day so we are looking forward to the 200 Fly, 100 Back, 100 Breast and Platform diving.”
Hog Highlights
- Graduate student Andrea Sansores finished fourth in the 100-butterfly final. Sansores broke the school record twice with a 51.86 in prelims and a 51.77 in the final.
- Graduate Student Luciana Thomas finished 13th in the 400-individual medley while swimming a time of 4:13.39.
- Freshman Maddy Hartley swam a personal-best of 1:47.30 in the 200-freestyle event.
- Freshman Delaney Harrison captured a personal-best of 1:49.57 in the 200-freestyle event.
- Sophomore Eleonora Camisa posted a 54.04 in the 100-butterfly, which was a personal-best.
- Sophomore Allie Thome swam a 4:27.14 in the 400-individual medley which was a personal-best for her.

Arkansas will continue their quest for an SEC Championship tomorrow with preliminaries at 9:30 AM and finals at 5:30 PM.
