Sansores named SEC Swimmer of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Andrea Sansores was named the SEC Co-Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced today. It is the first SEC honor for Sansores, and it also marked the first SEC Honor for the Hogs this season. The last Razorback to take home the weekly honor was Anna Hopkin, who won it in January of 2020 (1/21/20).

Now a senior for Neil Harper’s squad, Sansores competed in the Junior World Pan-Am Games, where she finished with one gold medal and four silver medal finishes. Andrea won her first-ever international gold medal in the 100m Backstroke for Mexico, in addition to having two silver medals finishes in the 400m Free Relay and the 400m Medley Relay. Sansores showed her versatility, too, taking home two more silver medals while competing in the Mixed Relay portion of the event.

Sansores and the Razorbacks are next in action against the Little Rock Trojans on January 15, 2021, at the Arkansas Natatorium in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
