SEC Runner of the Week honor for Sanu Jallow-Lockhart
FAYETTEVILLE – A school record performance in the 800m and producing the fastest 4 x 400m relay split this season earned Arkansas senior Sanu Jallow-Lockhart her second SEC Runner of the Week honor this indoor season.
Jallow-Lockhart won the Championship 800m at the Tyson Invitational in 1:59.76 to break her previous UA and Gambian national record of 1:59.77. Then she supplied a 50.19 split as Arkansas generated a 2026 world-leading time of 3:25.82.
On the 800m all-time collegiate list, Jallow-Lockhart ranks as the No. 5 performer with the No. 6 performance, while her previous best of 1:59.77 ranks as the No. 7 performance.
Jallow-Lockhart’s 50.19 is the second fastest third-leg split ever indoors in the world behind a 49.85 by South Carolina’s JaMeesia Ford in 2025.
The previous best split in 2026 was a 50.21 anchor leg by USC’s Madison Whyte. Razorback Analisse Batista registered the third fastest split this season with a 50.67 second leg carry at Tyson Invitational and has the fourth best split at 50.85 as the anchor leg from the Razorback Invitational.
The Razorback 4 x 400m relay broke the meet record of 3:26.27 set by Texas A&M in 2021 and challenged the Tyson facility record of 3:25.59 set by Arkansas in 2024.
The time ranks No. 5 on the UA all-time list and is the No. 7 performance on the all-time collegiate list. Arkansas holds the collegiate record with a 3:21.75 from 2023 and totals five of the top seven performance in collegiate indoor history.
