
Unanimous #1 Arkansas Back in Action against In-State Foe Arkansas State
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Unanimous No. 1 Arkansas (30-3), off to its best 33-game start in program history, returns to the diamond for a midweek matchup against in-state foe Arkansas State (14-17) Tuesday night at Baum-Walker Stadium.
First pitch in the fifth meeting between the Razorbacks and Red Wolves since 1960 is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, on SEC Network with Derek Jones (play-by-play) and Todd Walker (analyst) on the call. Entering Tuesday night, Arkansas is 21-2 overall against in-state opponents since 1960, including a perfect 4-0 mark in meetings against Arkansas State.
With a win against Arkansas State Tuesday night, Arkansas, 30-3 overall through its first 33 games this season, can make program history with its best 34-game start (31-3). The Razorbacks also started 30-3 overall during the 2024 campaign, marking their most wins through 33 games in school history, before suffering a loss in their 34th game of the season.

Following its record-setting series sweep against Missouri, Arkansas ascended to the top of all five major national polls Monday. The Razorbacks are the unanimous No. 1 team in the country, earning the top spot from Baseball America, D1Baseball, National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, Perfect Game and in the USA Today Baseball Coaches Poll.
In addition to its program-record 51 runs in an SEC series, the Razorbacks swept their third consecutive SEC weekend series for only the second time in school history (also in 1999). Arkansas, which has matched its best 12-game SEC start (11-1), has won a program-record 11 straight SEC games after dropping its conference opener at Ole Miss on March 14.
In-State Supremacy
Since 1960, Arkansas owns a commanding 21-2 overall record against in-state foes, including a perfect 4-0 mark against Arkansas State. The Hogs are also 6-0 all-time against UAPB, 6-0 all-time against UCA and 5-2 all-time against Little Rock.

30 Seasons of Baum-Walker Stadium
The 2025 campaign marks the 30th season in the history of Baum-Walker Stadium, which opened in 1996. Arkansas won its 700th game at Baum-Walker Stadium against Washington State on Feb. 17 and maintains an overall record of 718-244 (.746) inside the stadium’s friendly confines entering Tuesday night’s midweek matchup against Arkansas State.
Following its weekend sweep against Missouri, Arkansas is 22-1 at home this season. Since the venue opened, the Hogs have six 30-win seasons at Baum-Walker Stadium, accomplishing the feat during the 2004 (31 wins), 2018 (program-record 34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2023 (32 wins) and 2024 (program-record 34 wins) campaigns.
Excluding 2020, the Razorbacks have won 28 or more games in seven consecutive seasons at Baum-Walker Stadium: 2017 (29 wins), 2018 (34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2022 (28 wins), 2023 (32 wins) and 2024 (34 wins).
