10 Things To Know – Louisiana Tech

Arkansas takes a break from SEC play to host Conference USA foe Louisiana Tech in the final non-conference game of the regular season. Kickoff between the Hogs and Bulldogs is slated for 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, from inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on SEC Network+/ESPN+. The Razorbacks will honor their 21-member senior class prior to kickoff.

1 – An Arkansas win on Saturday would clinch bowl eligibility for the fourth time in five seasons under head coach Sam Pittman.

2 – Saturday’s matchup will be the fifth meeting between the programs and the first matchup between Arkansas and Louisiana Tech since 2016. The Razorbacks hold a 4-0 series advantage over the Bulldogs and won the last meeting 21-20 on Sept. 3, 2016 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

3 – WR Andrew Armstrong has 61 receptions for 931 yards this season. He needs only five more catches to move into a tie for second on the program’s single-season receptions list and only 69 more receiving yards to record the fifth 1,000-yard receiving season by a Razorback in program history.

4 – Under head coach Sam Pittman, Arkansas is 14-3 overall against non-conference opponents, including an 8-2 mark against non-conference opponents inside the friendly confines of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

5 – RB Ja’Quinden Jackson’s 11 rushing touchdowns are the most by an Arkansas ball carrier since RB Rawleigh Williams III scored 12 rushing touchdowns in 2016.

6 – DL Landon Jackson has registered at least 1.0 sacks in three consecutive games. He is the first Razorback to register 1.0+ sacks in three straight games since Drew Sanders and Jordan Domineck accomplished the feat during the first three games of the 2022 season. Jackson is the 13th Razorback in program history to have a 3+ game streak of 1.0+ sacks since 2000. The last Razorback to register at least 1.0 sacks in four consecutive games was Deatrich Wise Jr. in 2015.

7 – Arkansas is 84-42-4 all-time in home finales and has won two of its last three home finales under head coach Sam Pittman.

8 – Arkansas has had 194 plays of 10+ yards from scrimmage this season, which ranks second nationally and first in the SEC this season. The Hogs registered 168 plays of 10+ yards throughout last season, ranking 13th in the SEC.

9 – The Razorbacks are closing out the home slate with a non-conference opponent for the first time since Nov. 11, 1995, when they defeated Louisiana-Lafayette 24-13.

10 – Arkansas opponents have registered 16 false starts in home games this season, the most by the Razorbacks’ opponents at home since 2010 (18).
