10 Things to Know - LSU
The Battle for the Golden Boot comes to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium this weekend. Arkansas, looking to hit the six-win mark for the second year in a row and become bowl eligible for the third straight season, hosts No. 7 LSU at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, on ESPN.
10 Things to Know vs. LSU
1. – The Razorbacks are the rightful owners of the Golden Boot after defeating the Tigers, 16-13 (OT), in Baton Rouge, La., last season. Arkansas is seeking back-to-back wins in the rivalry game for the first time since 2014 and 2015.
2. – With a win against LSU, Sam Pittman would become the fourth Arkansas head coach to earn bowl eligibility in each of their first three seasons, joining Lou Holtz (1977-79), Ken Hatfield (1984-86) and Houston Nutt (1998-00).
3. – The Razorbacks rank second in the SEC with 28 total sacks, the most sacks by an Arkansas team since 2013 (28). LB Drew Sanders’ 7.5 sacks are most among all SEC defenders this season.
4. – In Arkansas’ Homecoming game against Liberty on Nov. 5, DB Quincey McAdoo became the first Arkansas player to block a punt and intercept a pass in the same game since Tom Crowder did both against Missouri in the 2003 Independence Bowl.

5. – The Hog defense limited Liberty to zero second half points on Nov. 5. The last time Arkansas pitched a second-half shutout was its 24-10 win over Penn State in the Outback Bowl (Jan. 1, 2022).
6. – Since 2020, Sam Pittman’s first season as head coach of the Razorbacks, 24 of Arkansas’ 31 FBS opponents have either been ranked or received votes in the national polls.
7. – RB Raheim Sanders currently leads the SEC and ranks sixth nationally in total rushing yards (1,101). He is one of only 13 FBS rushers to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark on the ground this season.
8. – Since the start of the 2020 season, the Razorbacks have totaled 31 interceptions in 32 games. Arkansas tallied 13 interceptions in 10 games in 2020, 13 interceptions in 13 games in 2021, and has five in nine games in 2022. Junior DB Dwight McGlothern, a transfer from LSU, leads the Razorbacks with three interceptions this season. The Hogs’ ball-hawking prowess has been led by redshirt junior DB Jalen Catalon (5) and redshirt junior DB Hudson Clark (4), who made his fourth career interception against BYU in 2022. Junior DB Myles Slusher (2), redshirt junior DB Malik Chavis (1), redshirt junior DL Eric Gregory (1) and freshman DB Quincey McAdoo have each picked off passes since the 2020 season.

9. – RB Raheim ‘Rocket’ Sanders is the Hogs’ leading rusher through nine games, totaling 1,101 yards on 173 carries (6.4 avg.) with seven scores on the ground. Sanders, who leads the SEC in both rushing yards (1,101) and rushing yards per game (122.3), only needed eight games this season to reach the 1,000-yard rushing mark, matching RB Madre Hill’s program record of eight games set in 1995.
10. – KJ Jefferson, the only SEC quarterback with 15 or more passing touchdowns and five or more rushing scores this year, has rushed for a touchdown in five games this season.
