10 Things to Know – Notre Dame
For only the second time this season, Arkansas returns home to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium to close out the non-conference portion of its 2025 schedule against Notre Dame. Kickoff in the first meeting in history between the Razorbacks and Fighting Irish is 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, on ABC.
1 – Arkansas has posted 500-plus yards of total offense in five straight games dating back to the 2024 Liberty Bowl. It marks the first time in program history that the Hogs have accomplished the feat.
2 – QB Taylen Green has completed 81-of-126 (64.3%) passes for 1,191 yards and 12 touchdowns while also rushing for 360 yards and two touchdowns. Green leads the nation in total offense with 1,551 yards and yards of total offense per game, averaging 387.8 yards a contest.
3 – DL Shakur Smalls is tied for sixth nationally in forced fumbles with two this season. He is one of six defenders in the SEC to force multiple fumbles through week four.
4 – The Razorbacks and Notre Dame will be meeting for the first time on Saturday. The matchup will mark just the third independent the Razorbacks have played in the Sam Pittman era, with the others being BYU and Liberty in 2022. The Hogs hold a 1-1 record against independents under Pittman, courtesy of a 52-35 win at BYU in 2022 and a 21-19 loss to Liberty.
5 – DL Quincy Rhodes Jr. logged his second multi-sack game of the season and racked up a career-high 4.0 tackles for loss in Arkansas’ matchup at Memphis. The Razorback defensive lineman, who leads the team in both tackles for loss (7.0) and sacks (5.0) through the first four games of the year, became the first Arkansas defender with multiple multi-sack games in a season since LB Drew Sanders (2) in 2022.
6 – The Razorbacks have scored 28 points in the first half in all four games this season. It is the first time Arkansas has done so in each of its first four games since at least 1991.
7 – TE Jaden Platt is averaging 17.88 yards per reception this season, which ranks fifth nationally among all tight ends. Platt has hauled in eight catches for a total of 143 yards this season.
8 – The Razorbacks’ 203 consecutive extra-points made streak, which began on Dec. 5, 2020, is the second-longest such streak nationally based on date, behind Northwestern (Oct. 24, 2020). Freshman kicker Scott Starzyk has made all 20 of his point-after attempts this season.
9 – Arkansas has scored a touchdown on the opening drive in three games this season, which is the most through the first four games of a season in the Sam Pittman era (2020-present).
10 – QB Taylen Green became the first Arkansas QB to hit the 1,000-yard passing mark during the fourth game of the season since Brandon Allen in 2015. Green eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark courtesy of a 15-yard pass to TE Jaden Platt with 2:05 on the clock in the second quarter during last week’s contest at Memphis.
