Arkansas Peach State Bound for Southern Intercollegiate

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After a 12-day break from competition, the No. 27 Arkansas men’s golf team returns to action on Monday, March 14 at the Southern Intercollegiate at Athens Country Club in Athens, Georgia.

The one day 36-hole event, hosted by the University of Georgia, features 14 teams, including three of those ranked in the top 40 with Georgia (2), Arkansas (27) and Augusta State (36).

The Razorbacks will take the par 72, 6,917-yard course Monday morning off the No. 1 tee starting at 9:10 a.m. Arkansas will be paired with host Georgia and Kennesaw State. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com by clicking here or via the Golfstat Live app.

Senior Taylor Moore is making his sixth appearance of the year at the top of the Arkansas lineup after posting a victory and runner-up finish in his last two events to earn his fourth career SEC Golfer of the Week award. He has shot 18-under over his last five rounds and has a team-leading 71.3 stroke average in 21 rounds this year.

Charles Kim will start in the No. 2 spot after posting four counting scores in his first three collegiate events. He has two rounds under par and 24 birdies in nine rounds. He is followed Nicolas Echavarria who has a top-10 finish to his credit this spring, including shooting even par or better in three of his last five rounds.

Kolton Crawford will tee off in the No. 4 spot for Arkansas with a 73.0 stroke average on the year, including three top 20 finishes in his last four events. Alec Tahy is seeing his first action of the 2015-16 season after making his first collegiate start last year at the NCAA New Haven Regional, posting three countable scores, including shooting three-over the final two days.
