Back on the road for women's basketball

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The two-week road stand for the Arkansas Razorbacks women’s basketball team continues with a familiar stop in a new place on Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Arkansas (5-1) faces Memphis (5-2) in one of the longest non-conference series in school history. For the first time, the game will be at the downtown Memphis home of the NBA Memphis Grizzlies, FedEx Forum.

Tipoff is 7 p.m., and the game will be available in audio stream from the RazorVision portion of ArkansasRazorbacks.com. The game will also be carried on the women’s basketball affiliates of Razorback Sports Properties.

This is the 20th meeting of the two teams, and while Arkansas has a six-game win streak against the Tigers, Memphis holds a 6-2 advantage at home. Seven of those eight meetings have been on campus at the Elma Rohne Field House. The two teams played once in the former downtown arena, The Pyramid, a game that Memphis won in 2000. The overall series is 9-8 in favor of Arkansas.

After Wednesday’s game, Arkansas closes its road tour in Manhattan, Kan., for the Commerce Bank Wildcat Invitational on Dec. 5-6.
