Best Offensive Lineman And Best Run Blocker In 2016

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas junior center Frank Ragnow was named the nation’s best offensive lineman and best run blocker for the 2016 season by Pro Football Focus (PFF) on Wednesday.

According to PFF, Ragnow didn’t allow a sack for the second straight season and decreased his total number of pressures allowed from 19 in 2015 to just 12 this year.

The Victoria, Minnesota, product started 12 games at center and one at right guard this season. He helped pave the way for sophomore running back Rawleigh Williams III to rush for 1,360 yards, while junior quarterback Austin Allen threw for 3,430 yards, including a league-best 2,291 in conference play.

Last month, Ragnow was selected to PFF’s All-America first team, the Associated Press All-SEC second team and both the Phil Steele All-America fourth team and All-SEC first team. In addition, he was named to the PFF Team of the Week twice during the regular season and also earned SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors on Sept. 18.

Ragnow has made 26 straight starts heading into his senior campaign with 14 starts at right guard and 12 at center.
