Zach Reed joined the Arkansas Razorbacks after spending 10 years as a player development coach with Georgia Tech’s football program.
With the Yellow Jackets, he worked with the football team as well as the Jackets’ track and field program beginning in 2011. Prior to joining Georgia Tech’s staff in 2011, Reed was a high school coach at Kennesaw Mountain High School in Kennesaw, Ga. for eight years (2003-10).
He is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA). Reed is also USAW (USA Weightlifting) and NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Corrective Exercise certified. He regularly competes in Strongman competitions.
Reed was a four-year letterwinner as a defensive lineman at Tennessee Tech, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education in 2001 and a master’s degree in instructional leadership in 2002.
The Atlanta-area native was a three-sport athlete at South Cobb HS in Austell, Ga. competing in football, track and field and wrestling.
