Day Two of Fall Camp Completed

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas football team continued fall camp on Sunday with its second practice of the season. The 3:15 practice was moved to the Willard and Pat Walker Pavilion because of inclement weather in the Fayetteville area.

Despite the weather, many fans came out to show their support during the two-hour practice in shorts and helmets.

Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt was still optimistic about the things he saw at Saturday’s practice and was also aware of some aspects of the practice that needed to be addressed this afternoon.

“We are coming back on the field today to make some corrections after watching the film from yesterday’s practice,” Nutt said.

Coach Nutt was pleased with the performances of the newcomers, but understands that they are playing at a level that is unfamiliar to them.

“There are some guys that are in the mix, and they have got to step up”, Nutt said. “It’s not Friday night and it’s a big jump to go to Saturday night. It’s intense and it’s full speed. A lot of them think they are going full speed, but they are not and that was the emphasis today. They have to pick up the pace; there is a sense of urgency. Get in the huddle, get out of the huddle and know your assignment. Even if you make a mistake, go full speed. We can correct the mistakes.”

The Razorbacks return to the practice field at 6:50 p.m. on Monday.
