HIGH SCHOOL: A four-star recruit out of Bay City HS, where he was rated the No. 17 defensive lineman in the nation by 247Sports, No. 33 by Rivals and No. 49 by ESPN … On3 tabbed him the No. 36 player in Texas and he was the No. 237 player on the Top 247 list … Recorded 95 tackles with 30 TFLs and 17.5 sacks as a senior and was the Texas District 12-4 Division I MVP … As a junior, he made 102 tackles with 29 for loss and 13 sacks earning co-Defensive MVP honors in his district and the 2022 Victoria Advocate All-Area Defensive Lineman of the Year … Also named Texas Sports Writers Association 4A All-State First Team and the 2022 Padilla Poll All-State Second Team … Made 63 tackles with 11 TFLs and two sacks as a sophomore, catching five pass for 54 yards and one score … Earned Team Defensive MVP and District 12-4A First Team … Also competed in basketball and track and field as a shot putter … On the hardwood, earned 2022-23 4A Region IV District 26 Defensive MVP, 2020-21 District 12-4A First Team honors, 2021-22 Academic All-District 25-4A honors and was named Team MVP.
