ESPNU televising College Basketball Hall of Fame induction

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –- Former Arkansas men’s basketball coach Nolan Richardson was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in Kansas City in November.

The 2008 National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be nationally broadcast on ESPNU on the following dates – Wednesday, Dec. 10, 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 20, 6 p.m.; and Monday, Dec. 22, 6 p.m. All times are central.

In 17 years at Arkansas (1986-2002), Richardson compiled a 389-169 (.697) record and guided the Razorbacks to the 1994 national championship. The school’s all-time leader in wins, he has a 508-206 (.711) career record in 22 years overall, including five at Tulsa.

The only coach to win a national junior college title, a post-season NIT title and the NCAA championship, he led Arkansas to 15 national post-season appearances. His teams earned 13 bids to the NCAA Tournament, reached the Final Four three times, the national championship game twice, the Sweet 16 six times and the Elite Eight four times. Under Richardson, Arkansas was 26-12 (.684) in the NCAA Tournament.
