EuroBasket Pro Razorbacks Update

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Lady Razorbacks players who continue their career in pro basketball.

#1. Jessica Jackson (6’4”-PF-95, graduated ’17, plays pro in Greece) led PAOK to a victory over the closely-ranked Iraklis (18-3) crushing them 104-62 in a derby game in the Greek A1 in Sunday night’s game. She was MVP of the game. Jackson recorded 26 points (!!!) and grabbed 7 rebounds in 26 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it’s only her second season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. PAOK Thessaloniki (13-4) is placed second in the A1. It’s Jackson’s first year with the team. Jackson has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages 17.4ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.7apg in 17 games she played so far.

#2. Alecia Cooley (6’3”-C-95, graduated ’17, plays in Germany) could not help BG ’89 Avides Hurricanes Rotenburg (12-6) in their last game on Sunday. Despite her good performance the fourth-placed BG ’89 Avides Hurricanes Rotenburg (12-6) was defeated 66-62 on the road by the second-ranked B.Loewen in the North group. Cooley recorded 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This season Cooley has very high stats. She averages 17.2ppg, 9.4rpg and 1.2apg.

#3. Experienced Lauren Ervin (6’3”-F-85, graduated ’08, currently in Turkey) contributed to a Elazig Il Ozel Idare’s victory against the ninth-ranked Nesibe (12-13) 68-62 in the Turkish TKBL (second division) on Saturday night. She scored 7 points, had 11 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 6 balls in 40 minutes. Elazig Il Ozel Idare (19-6) is placed second in the TKBL. It was her team’s fourth consecutive victory in a row. Ervin has relatively good stats this year 15.0ppg, 11.8rpg, 1.8apg and 3.6spg in five games.

#4. Ana Faussurier (6’3”-PF-94, graduated ’14, plays pro in Spain) managed to help UCAM-Probelte Jairis to win against the fifth-ranked Picken Claret (13-8) 72-60 in the Spanish LF2 (second division) in Saturday night’s game. Faussurier scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. UCAM-Probelte Jairis (5-16) is placed 13th in Group B. It was her team’s first victory after three consecutive loses. This season Faussurier averages 8.6ppg and 7.0rpg.
