Five Razorbacks Earn All-SEC Awards

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference released its soccer coaches’ postseason awards Sunday, with five Razorbacks receiving accolades for their exceptional performance throughout Arkansas’ 30th season.

Senior Claire Kelley was selected as first team All-SEC, with junior defender Jessi Hartzler and sophomore defender Qyara Winston named into second team All-SEC honors.

Stefani Doyle and Kayla McKeon were also selected into the SEC All-Freshman Team.

Kelley has put together a spectacular senior campaign for the Razorbacks, accounting for seven goals, a season career-high 13 assists, 27 points and two game-winners. She also has recorded a stat line in 14 of the Razorbacks’ 19 games this season. In addition, Kelley only needs one more assist to top Arkansas’ current assists leader, Holly Collins, who tallied 26 helpers during her time as a Razorback from 1997-2001.

Hartzler’s seven goals, one assist, 15 points and a team-leading four game-winners all represent career-high marks for the Kearney, Missouri native. She scored two goals in Arkansas’ 2-1 upset win against then-No. 4 Florida on Sept. 16 that earned her SEC Offensive Player of the Week and NCAA Soccer Player of the Week honors.

Winston has played an integral part of a Razorback defense that produced a total of five shutout wins and allowed only 1.15 goals per contest throughout the season.

Freshmen Doyle and McKeon each posted stellar stat lines during their inaugural season as Razorbacks. Doyle’s six goals, three assists, 15 points and 1 game-winner earned the Lewisville, Texas, native SEC Offensive Player of the Week and SEC Freshman of the Week awards for her game-winning goal against then-No. 4 Duke and her six point, three goal performance during two road matches against James Madison and VCU on Aug. 19 and Aug. 21, respectively.

McKeon’s team-leading eight goals, one assist, 17 points and two game-winners net the Garland, Texas, native TopDrawerSoccer.com accolades during her first season in Arkansas.

The Razorbacks are headed to the SEC Tournament for the fourth time in five years under head coach Colby Hale. Seeded as the No. 3 team, they will play No. 6 Vanderbilt on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 2:30 p.m. CT.
