Football practice report

The University of Arkansas football team continued practice Tuesday as the Razorbacks prepare for LSU. Following the workout, UA offensive coordinator Paul Petrino spoke to the media:

On practice:"We had a good practice today and came out there with a lot of energy. I think the players are going to be real excited about the game. You could feel the excitement and energy and they were flying around. We have to keep improving our execution the next two days and we are excited to get down there and have a great game."

On the performance of the offense the last four games translating to road success:"I think it will. I stood up here about four weeks ago and said we have the next four games at home and hopefully we can really start playing. We are young and we play better at home. We’ve done that and I think we’ve grown up now. That’s something we’ve talked about in order to get to the next level the young guys have to go play good on the road. I think we will do that."

On Dennis Johnson’s performance last year against LSU carrying over to this year:"I think it gives him a lot of confidence. Dennis played well against them last year and they had a hard time tackling him. I think he goes in there with a lot of confidence. It is a different defensive coordinator, but it is mostly the same players so he goes in there with a lot of confidence."
