Gaines, Jennings Join On The Air With Bret Bielema
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – “On the Air with Bret Bielema,” Coach Bielema’s weekly radio show presented by AT&T and Lindsey, returns on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Catfish Hole in Fayetteville. The second edition of the show will feature defensive backs coach Clay Jennings and senior safety Rohan Gaines as the Razorbacks prepare of Saturday’s season opener against UTEP.
Chuck Barrett, the voice of the Razorbacks, will host head coach Bret Bielema while fans can make reservations to attend the shows by calling the Catfish Hole at 479-521-7008. Tickets are $25 and include all you can eat dinner buffet with catfish, shrimp and chicken.
Jennings led a secondary group that helped the Razorbacks rank 10th nationally in both scoring defense (19.2 ppg) and total defense (323.4 yards per game) in 2014. It was the first time since Arkansas joined the SEC in 1992 that the Razorbacks had finished in the top 10 in either statistic.
A preseason All-SEC third team choice by the league head coaches in August, Gaines registered 59 tackles in 2014. Gaines provided one of the most memorable moments of the 2014 season, returning an interception 100 yards for a touchdown against Ole Miss, equaling the longest interception return in school history.
The show will be carried throughout the state of Arkansas on the Razorback Sports Network and locally in Fayetteville on 92.1 FM and 93.3 FM.
