Hogs Grab 13 Wins on Day One of ITA Regionals

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Razorbacks wasted no time Thursday to put themselves in contention to win the ITA Central Regionals in Lincoln, snatching 13 match victories on day one. The 11 Hog players who traveled to Nebraska tallied seven singles wins and six more in doubles play and put themselves in prime position to make deep runs in both brackets.

Arkansas entered the tournament with a combined five seeded singles players or doubles teams, second-most in the tournament. Razorback sophomore Avery Zavala had the win of the day, taking down No. 14 seed Volodymyr Zakharov of Oral Roberts University, 6-3, 6-4.
