KXUA joins LRRN lineup for basketball

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas’ student radio station, KXUA, joins the Lady Razorback Radio Network as an affiliate station this Thursday evening with the Arkansas at Auburn broadcast. KXUA, 88.3 FM, has provided the play-by-play for several Lady Razorback sports, including soccer, volleyball and softball, in past seasons, but begins airing women’s basketball for the first time this week. “Having KXUA in the network allows fans in the northwest Arkansas region a pair of stations from which to choose,” associate athletic director Bill Smith said. The Lady’Back basketball games are also heard on KBNV, 90.1 FM, in the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers-Bentonville area. KXUA will carry the rest of the 2004-05 women’s basketball season, and any post season games for the Lady’Backs. Tipoff for Arkansas-Auburn is 7 p.m. on Thursday night, with pregame for the network starting 20 minutes prior to tipoff. For more information on Lady’Back basketball, go to LADYBACKS.COM.
