Landry Second after First Round of NCAA Central Regional
SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – Arkansas sophomore Andrew Landry is tied for 10th after the first round of the NCAA Central Golf Regional at the par-72, 7,214-yard Rich Harvest Farms on Thursday.
The sophomore from Port Neches, Texas, carded a 2-over-par 74 for the round and is four strokes off the lead of Louisville’s Derek Fathauer, who shot a 2-under-par 70.
Landry teed off the 10th hole at 1:23 p.m. and shot a two-over par 38 going out with bogeys on No. 13 and No. 14. He made the turn at No. 1 and posted a birdie to get to 1-over par.
Landry then gave it back with a bogey on the par-4 third hole. He the birdied No. 5, but came with a bogey on hole No. 6. He pared the final three holes to finish with an even-par 36 on his final nine holes.
