Lindsey Legacy Continues

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema announced on Wednesday the addition of Springdale High School quarterback Jack Lindsey who will join the program next season as a walk-on.

“Our staff has watched Jack grow over the last three years and we’re excited to have him join our program,” said Bielema. “He is the definition of the type of player and person we want in our program.”

In his senior season, the 6-4, 180-pound signal caller completed 201 of 365 passes for 2,226 yards, which ranked second in the Arkansas 7A West Conference. He tossed 16 touchdown passes and rushed for a pair of touchdowns while throwing just six interceptions. Lindsey led Springdale to its first playoff appearance since 2011 under first-year head coach Zak Clark, who spent the previous five seasons as an assistant at Fayetteville High School.

Jack is part of a long line of Razorbacks. The son of Lyndy and Laura Beth, his father was a four-year letterwinner from 1988-91. He is the grandson of former Razorback great Jim Lindsey, who was a captain on the 1964 National Championship team.
