BOSTON, Mass. – The No. 21 Razorback men’s cross country team battled to a 10th-place finish posting a score of 311-points, paced by Preston Cates, Friday morning at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown hosted at Franklin Park.
Preston Cates made his 2019 debut for Arkansas by leading the Razorbacks from start to finish, using only 24 minutes, 52 seconds to complete the 8k course amongst a field of teams that included No. 3 Washington and No. 13 Syracuse.
Crossing the finish line after Cates were Myles Richter (25:31) in 64th-place, Carter Persyn (25:34) in 68th-place, and Graham Brown (25:38) in 72nd-place. Rounding out the scoring for the Razorbacks was Sam Boone (25:53) in 85th-place.
Next up for the Razorbacks will be a trip home as Arkansas hosts the 31st annual Chile Pepper Festival at Agri Park in Fayetteville Oct. 5.
