
Paityn Noe runner-up in Stanford Invitational 10,000m
Stanford, Calif. – Razorback Paityn Noe challenged another Arkansas school record as she finished second in the 10,000m at the Stanford Invitational with a career best time of 31 minutes, 59.22 seconds.
Noe ranks No. 2 on the UA all-time list behind the school record of 31:56.84 set in 2016 by Dominique Scott. Noe’s previous best of 32:57.29 set in 2024 ranked No. 6 at Arkansas.
In moving to the No. 2 position, Noe passed Taylor Werner (32:26.38), Katie Izzo (32:34.15), and Lauren Gregory (32:34.21).
Oregon runners placed first and third in the race with Diana Cherotich (31:45.22) and Juliet Cherubet (32:02.78). Razorback Sydney Thorvaldson placed 13th with a time of 33:01.51.
Olivia Pielemeier produced a career best of 16:12.68 to place eighth in section 3 of the 5,000m. Racing in section 2 of the 10,000m, Bradley Weimer finished 17th with a time of 34:23.01 among a field of 34 finishers.
Mackenzie Rogers finished ninth in the second section of the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 10:24.87. Sorcha Shiu set a career best of 4:36.77 in the fourth section of the 1,500m to place 12th.
Competing in the 5,000m at the Mike Fanelli Classic hosted by San Francisco State, Razorbacks Morgan Kirkland (16:56.00) and Ruby Little (17:06.77) made their debut in the event to place 13th and 24th.
The Razorbacks host the Arkansas Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 12.
