Pinto Moves on in Day One of ITF Tourney

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.– The Razorbacks have a man in the second round of the qualifiers of their home-court ITF tournament. Arkansas Spainard Oscar Pinto Sansano grabbed a first round win over Frenchman Bradley Paliska in the tournament’s first day Monday, 6-3 6-2.

It was the freshman’s first win as a Razorback, and it was a big one, as Paliska entered the draw as the 14th-ranked qualifier. But it was the unseeded Pinto who was in control of the entire match, cruising to a straight-sets win.

Pinto moves on to the second round of the qualifiers to take on fellow countryman Inaki Montes-De La Torre, the top-seeded player in the qualifying bracket.
