#ProHogs In The NFL – Week 1 Schedule
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The 2019-20 NFL season will officially kick off tonight when the Chicago Bears take on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. This year, 19 different Razorbacks will make up part of an NFL roster or practice squad, including Deatrich Wise, Jr., Hjalte Froholdt and Dan Skipper, who will be part of the defending Super Bowl-champion New England Patriots.
Of the 16 games on the slate, 11 could potentially feature a Razorback. As the preseason finished up last week, all teams made their roster cuts to make up their 53-man rosters and 12 former Hogs will be on active rosters in Week 1.
Jason Peters leads the way as he, once again, will be the steady presence on the offensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles, entering his 17th season in the league. At 37 years old, Peters has gone from an undrafted tight end in 2004 to a nine-time Pro Bowler, six-time All-Pro, Super Bowl champion and regarded the best offensive tackle in the NFL with the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his future. Peters is heading into his 10th season with the Eagles.
On Sunday, fans will be able to see former wideout Jarius Wright as he suits up for his second season with the Carolina Panthers. Wright is fresh off a career year after making six starts for the Panthers and hauling in 43 receptions for 447 yards and one touchdown. He’ll be starting his ninth season overall after being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2012 draft.
