QB-WR Duo Join On The Air With Bret Bielema
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – “On the Air with Bret Bielema,” Coach Bielema’s weekly radio show presented by Lindsey and West Rock Coffee Company, returns Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Catfish Hole. This week’s show will feature a pair of redshirt freshmen, as wide receiver Jordan Jones and quarterback Cole Kelley help preview this weekend’s home game against No. 21 Auburn.
In the Kelley’s first career start this past Saturday at No. 1 Alabama, he connected with Jones four times for 72 yards and a touchdown. In the second quarter, Kelley found Jones for a 46-yard completion, which is the longest play from scrimmage given up by Alabama this season.
Live from the Catfish Hole for the ninth straight year, Chuck Barrett, the voice of the Razorbacks, will host head coach Bret Bielema on the one-hour show while fans can make reservations to attend the shows by calling the Catfish Hole at 479-521-7008. Tickets are $25 and include all you can eat dinner buffet with catfish, shrimp and chicken.
Jones 3-yard TD catch from Kelley in the fourth quarter marked the second straight week that he has found the end zone. Over the last three games, Jones has made his mark in the Arkansas offense with 11 receptions for 193 yards and two scores.
The first redshirt freshman to start at quarterback since Brandon Allen in 2012, Kelley connected on 23 of 42 passes for 200 yards and the one TD against the Crimson Tide. The 6-foot-7 signal caller has a touchdown pass in four of five games that he has appeared in this year and has added seven rushing first downs.
Arkansas will welcome No. 21 Auburn to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Saturday for a 6:30 p.m. CT kick off on the SEC Network.
The show will be carried throughout the state of Arkansas on the Razorback Sports Network and locally in Fayetteville on 99.5 FM, 92.1 FM and 93.3 FM.
